DeQuincy is in northern Calcasieu Parish, generally unincorporated for permit purposes, so electrical permits are issued by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Building Division. We confirm jurisdiction by address and handle the permit. Permit work runs under LA Lic #73821. You do not touch the paperwork.

USB combo outlets are deeper than a standard receptacle. The original shallow box does not have enough cubic-inch volume per NEC 314 to accept it safely, so we replace the box first.
