The Exclusive Access Pass is built for the Lake Charles area homeowner who would rather have a known electrician on call than search again every time. Annual safety check, priority scheduling, and a real phone path after hours add up the most for older homes, homes with a generator on annual maintenance, EV charger setups that need occasional recheck, and properties that took a hit from Hurricane Laura or Delta and are still seeing residual issues.
What a typical year looks like
Year one usually starts with the inspection. The findings report turns into a punch list. Some homeowners run through the whole list in the first quarter and do not call again until renewal week. Others phase the work across the year. Either way, the priority queue and the waived diagnostic fee apply on every member visit, and the inspection runs again twelve months later as a fresh baseline.
How priority scheduling works
Members go ahead of non-members on both routine calls and after-hours runs when the schedule gets tight. In a normal week that is a couple of days earlier than non-members. In a hurricane week, or the freeze week, or right after a Cleco grid event, that gap can be the gap between a same-week visit and a wait. Active emergencies still get triaged on the danger, not the membership, the pass pushes you up the routine queue, not ahead of someone with a burning panel.
What the annual safety inspection covers
Same scope as the standalone Hayes whole-home electrical inspection. We open the panel and the service entrance hard (Federal Pacific Stab-Lok, Zinsco, and Challenger panels still turn up across Lake Charles often enough that we look for them first), check branch circuit grounding against NEC 250, GFCI on the spots NEC 210.8 calls out, AFCI on the rooms NEC 210.12 covers, sample receptacle and switch tests, attic and crawlspace runs where the home gives us access, and the outdoor receptacles plus yard lighting that take the worst hurricane beating. The findings come back with photos, NEC section references, severity flags ("hazard," "pre-storm," "whenever"), and ballpark numbers to fix each item. The report goes in your Hayes file and we use it to schedule work over the year.
After-hours, in plain language
After-hours means outside the 7am to 5pm Monday-Friday window. Members get a real path to a licensed electrician when something cannot wait until the next business day. Burning smell at the panel, sparks at an outlet, half the house dark after a storm, breaker that resets and trips back inside seconds. Things that read as fire risk get a same-night call. Things that can wait until 7am, we tell you that on the phone.
Common questions on enrollment
What does it cost? We will tell you on the call. Pricing depends on the home and how much work we have already done there, so a flat web price would mislead. Is there a contract? Membership runs annually, you can cancel at any time, the unused portion is not refundable. Can two homes share a membership? No, the pass is tied to one address. What if I move? The pass ends at the old address; the new owner of that home does not inherit it. Can a property manager enroll on behalf of multiple properties? Yes, one membership per property.
