Hayes Electrical offers one warranty: the Lifetime Craftsmanship Guarantee. Every install we do across Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana lands inside NEC 2023 and the LA Uniform Construction Code, and if anything we installed fails because of how we installed it, we come back and fix it at no charge to the homeowner. The guarantee is documented in writing at handoff and stays with the home when the property changes hands. Call (337) 570-2327.

01 / THE GUARANTEE

The Lifetime Craftsmanship Guarantee.

One workmanship guarantee on every install we do in Lake Charles and across Southwest Louisiana. If our work fails because of how we put it in, we come back and fix it. No tiers, no fine-print categories.

Lifetime Craftsmanship Guarantee

What it is

A written workmanship guarantee on every install. We take pride in the work we do, and every job leaves our hands inside NEC 2023 and the LA Uniform Construction Code. The guarantee is documented at handoff and stays with the home.

What it covers

If something we installed fails because of how we installed it, we come back and make it right. Our crew, our trucks, our materials. Manufacturer defects on the part itself stay with the manufacturer, but our labor to put it back in is covered.

What it costs you

Nothing. There is no charge for the warranty repair, no service-call fee for the visit, no labor invoice for the rework. We handle the call, we send the truck, we fix the issue.

How to use it

Call the Lake Charles shop at (337) 570-2327. We pull the original file (install date, parts, scope, photos), confirm the work is ours, and schedule the visit.

In writing

The Lifetime Craftsmanship Guarantee is documented at handoff and stays with the home. For the exclusions and the full claim path, see the full terms.

02 / WHAT IT IS

The Lifetime Craftsmanship Guarantee, in our words.

The Craftsmanship Guarantee is the most important thing we put on paper. It reflects how we run the shop: do the work right, stand behind it for as long as the home is standing, and treat the homeowner the way we would want our own family treated.

Every project is a chance to show what a licensed Louisiana electrician can do when the work is done with care. Our crew installs to NEC 2023 and the LA Uniform Construction Code, and we work the same way whether the job is a single outlet swap in Prien or a whole-home rewire in Sulphur. The standard does not change with the size of the invoice.

If something we installed fails because of the install itself, we want to know about it. We will pull the file, send the truck, and put it right. That is the deal. No second invoice, no scope-of-work argument, no surprise labor charge tacked onto the visit.

Most of our warranty visits are minor, a connection that loosened, a fixture that needed re-seating after a settling joist. We are not flooded with real failures, because we do not cut corners on the install. But the guarantee is there for when it matters, and the paper is in your file from the day we hand off the work.

03 / WHAT IT COVERS

In plain English.

  • Workmanship on every install we perform. The labor, the wiring, the connections, the mounting, the terminations, the bonding, the panel work, the conduit runs. If we put hands on it, the install is covered.
  • Free repair if our install fails. No charge for the diagnostic visit. No charge for the labor to put it right. No surprise invoice. The whole cost of the warranty repair is on Hayes.
  • Stays with the home. Sell the house and the new owner picks up the same guarantee. No transfer paperwork, no fee, no form to fill out. We pull the file from the address.
  • Documented in writing. The guarantee is on paper at handoff, in your file at our Lake Charles shop, and in your hand when we leave the driveway.
04 / HONEST EXCLUSIONS

What the guarantee does not cover.

We are direct about the limits, because a warranty that promises everything ends up covering nothing. Here is what falls outside the Lifetime Craftsmanship Guarantee:

  • Manufacturer defects on customer-supplied parts. If you bring your own fixture, panel, charger, or smart device and the part itself fails, that warranty is between you and the manufacturer. Our labor to put it back in is still on us.
  • Work touched by another contractor after our install. If another electrician, a handyman, or a homeowner rewires what we installed, the guarantee voids on the affected work. This is not a power play, it is the only way we can stand behind an install whose integrity we still control.
  • Acts of God. Hurricane flood damage, lightning strikes that arc past a surge device, fire damage from a non-electrical source, tree falls, vehicle impact. These are insurance events, not warranty events. We will work with your carrier and re-build the affected scope as a new job.
  • Wear-and-tear outside the install. If a fixture you supplied burns out a bulb, that is a bulb, not a warranty claim. We are happy to come change it, but it goes on a service invoice rather than the warranty.
05 / HOW TO MAKE A CLAIM

If something fails, here is the path.

A guarantee only matters if the claim path is real. Ours is short: you call, we pull the file, we come out, we fix it. The customer file we built when we did the original install is where the claim starts, so we already have the install date, the parts list, the photos, and any inspection close-out on file.

The four-step claim path

  1. You call us. Lake Charles shop, (337) 570-2327. Same shop, same Dorian, same crew that did the install.
  2. We pull the file. Original install date, scope, parts, and any prior service notes come up on the call. We confirm the work is ours and that the failure is inside the guarantee. If a hurricane week is in progress and capacity is tight, warranty calls go on the priority queue.
  3. We come out. Warranty visits run on the priority queue but are not flagged as emergencies unless the failure is also a hazard. Routine: same week. Active issue: same day.
  4. We fix it. No invoice for the warranty repair. Anything we spot outside the warranty scope gets quoted separately for you to decide.

What about new owners of the home?

The guarantee is tied to the address, not the original buyer. Sell the home and the new owner picks up the same coverage with no transfer paperwork. We pull the file from the address when the new owner calls.

Why we put it in writing

Most warranty disputes happen because the original scope was ambiguous. The customer remembers it one way, the contractor remembers it another, and there is no paper trail. We head that off at install: the signed quote, the parts we installed (brand, model, location), the inspection close-out where one applies, and the guarantee terms attached to that work all go in your file. When the property changes hands, the next owner inherits the file along with the guarantee.

The guarantee in one sentence

If we put it in and it fails because of how we put it in, we come back and fix it for free. That is the whole of it.
