They were really helpful and got to me the next day, a storm came through and my electric box outside got messed up really bad, I only had half of my house working. It was a fire hazard, waiting to happen. I had called many places to come out to look at it and they was putting me off, it was so scary. I was so blessed when I called them the owner came out the same day and said that they could come out the next day to fix it. I thank God this company was so worried about my house catching on fire, so he put me in front of other customers because he was really concerned. I highly Recommend this company Hayes Electric to everyone out there for problems, they were very reasonable, it did not cost me a fortune that I did not have. Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Hayes Electrical LLC is licensed in Louisiana, bonded, and insured with general liability and workers compensation coverage. Dorian Hayes, the owner, is the licensed electrician on every estimate.
Do you do residential and commercial work?
Both. Residential covers everything from a single outlet replacement to whole-home rewires, 100A to 200A service upgrades, EV chargers, and whole-home standby generators sized for hurricane season. Commercial covers tenant improvements, retail, office, restaurant, and small commercial buildings across Lake Charles and SWLA.
How does the site visit work?
Call us at (337) 570-2327 or submit a request on the site. We schedule a real visit, walk the job in person, look at what is actually there (panel, conduit, load picture), and give you a written quote covering scope, timeline, and price. A standard service-call fee applies, disclosed up front when you book.
What about hurricane season and storm outages?
We size whole-home and partial-load generators against your real load, install the automatic transfer switch and supply circuit per NEC 702 and NFPA 37 clearance rules, and coordinate with Entergy where required. After Laura and Delta, we know how SWLA homes load during a multi-day outage and we plan for that, not for a brochure.
What is the warranty on your work?
Hayes backs every install with our Lifetime Craftsmanship Guarantee. If our work fails because of how we put it in, we come back and fix it at no charge. The guarantee is documented in writing at handoff and stays with the home.
How fast can you come out?
For non-emergency work we usually have a licensed electrician on site within 24 to 48 hours for the diagnostic visit, then schedule the install based on parts and any permits required. Emergency calls (active power loss, sparks, burning smell, hot panel) roll a truck the same day, after hours when needed.
Do you pull the permits?
Not every electrical job requires a permit in Lake Charles or Calcasieu Parish. When the local AHJ requires one, we pull it under our Louisiana license, schedule the rough and final inspections, and walk the work with the inspector so you do not have to.
