Exterior receptacle installation requires NEC 210.8(A)(3) GFCI protection and NEC 406.9 in-use weatherproof covers. The Calcasieu Parish AHJ requires a permit for new exterior circuits and we file it.
Iowa is unincorporated Calcasieu Parish for permit purposes, so electrical permits are issued by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Building Division. We pull the permit and handle the parish inspection scheduling. Permit work runs under LA Lic #73821. You do not touch the paperwork.

Yes. We run UF-B direct-burial cable at NEC 300.5 depth and install a Lithonia or Hubbell pole-mount fixture with a photocell. Voltage drop is checked on long runs so the light starts bright and stays bright.
Yes. NEC 210.8 requires GFCI protection on outdoor receptacles, and NEC 406.9 requires an in-use weatherproof cover so the GFCI stays sealed when a cord is plugged in.
