Electrical service in Kinder, LA

Kinder sits in Allen Parish, north of Lake Charles along Highway 165. Drive time from our shop runs forty to fifty minutes depending on the address. The town has a small residential center, with the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana reservation and gaming property nearby. The surrounding stretch is rural acreage with timber and pasture. What we work on in Kinder

Service upgrades for older town and rural housing are the steady call. Do you serve Kinder?

Yes, we cover Kinder in Allen Parish, including the area near the Coushatta lands. It is our northern reach and we work it on a project basis. Cleco serves much of this area for utility, not Entergy, so we coordinate accordingly.

How fast can you get to my home in Kinder?

Kinder is about a 40 minute run from our Lake Charles shop up US-165. Non-emergency work usually lands in a next-day window. Emergency arrival is closer to two and a half hours.

Do I need a permit for a generator install in Kinder?

Yes, a permanent standby generator needs an Allen Parish permit and inspection. NEC 702 covers the transfer switch and load calc per 220. We design the system, pull the permit, and tie in the gas or propane line as needed.

My Kinder home is on Cleco service, not Entergy. Does that change anything?
