Yes. If the run is under 100m we use Cat6 in conduit. For longer runs we use single-mode fiber with media converters at both ends, or place an outdoor-rated switch as a relay. We size to the run length and label both ends.
For most residential drops, Cat6 is the right answer. It supports 10G ethernet up to about 55m and 1G/2.5G over the full 100m run. Fiber is the better choice for long outbuilding runs and where future-proofing past 10G matters.
