Not sure | $2,000+ Great services. Mackenzie and Hayden were very courteous and respectful. They worked with our schedule to make sure they didn't turn off the power when we were doing things that required electricity. We definitely would hire Hayes again.

What this work usually runs.
Grand Lake service area.
From our Lake Charles shop.
Trucks dispatch out of 803 W Bayou Pines Dr, Ste D, Lake Charles, LA 70601. Most days a crew is already inside Calcasieu Parish on another job, so the drive is short. For after-hours calls we roll one out from the shop.
Low-voltage work in Grand Lake covers Cat6 ethernet, coaxial for older cable installs, fiber where the homeowner wants future-proof runs from the main residence to a boat house or shop building, security camera cabling around the dock and lot, audio-video cabling for whole-home or single-room AV setups, and the structured wiring panel that ties it all together. Waterfront properties often have long runs from the home to outbuildings that push the Cat6 100m limit.
For Cat6 we keep runs under the 100m (328 foot) maximum per TIA-568. Runs longer than that go to fiber, with media converters at each end, which is common when the boat house or dock-side equipment is more than 100m from the main demarc. We use plenum-rated cable in air-handling spaces, riser-rated elsewhere as required, and we terminate on keystone jacks or patch panels with verified continuity. Exterior camera and outbuilding runs go in conduit with weather-rated boxes. We pull a separate raceway for low-voltage where the install will be visible, and we label every run at both ends.
For Grand Lake addresses we coordinate with the homeowner on the demarc location (where the structured wiring lives) and what gets connected to it. We do not provide network configuration or security camera commissioning unless that is in the agreed scope – our job is the cabling and the terminations.

Permits and inspections
Grand Lake sits in southern Cameron Parish along the lake. Electrical permits are issued through Cameron Parish Permits. We confirm flood zone elevation requirements with the parish before we pull, then handle the inspection. Permit work runs under LA Lic #73821. You do not touch the paperwork.

Why hiring a licensed electrician matters.
Here is the no-spin cut on low-voltage network wiring. Same answer we would give a friend in Westlake or Carlyss, whether or not we end up winning the job.

What Southwest Louisiana says about our work
Real reviews from real customers across Lake Charles, Sulphur, Moss Bluff, and the surrounding parishes.
My experience with Hayse Electrical was a very possitive one. At my first meeting with Dorian and I explaining my situation with my problem I was having, he explained what the company was going to do in very precise detail, was able to quote me a price right away and set up an appointment in the meeting. On the day of my appointment McKenzie and Hayden called me ahead of time to say they were on their way and arrived when said time. They both worked continually all day til all the work was done. Both men were very nice and worked well together and alone. I would recommend Hayes Electrical, Dorian, Mckenzie and Hayden and I would use this company again.
I've had the privilege of getting to know Juliet and Dorian, and what stands out most is how much they care about people. They are genuine, kind, and passionate about doing things the right way qualities that shine through in the way they serve their customers and lead their company. In an industry where trust matters, Juliet and Dorian embody integrity, authenticity, and heart. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for electricians who treat their customers like family.
Great price Having an older home, my wife and I were extremely concerned when we started experiencing electrical issues. We were referred to Dorian by a friend! He came out and inspected the problem within a day and gave us multiple solutions to the problem that best fit our budget. Dorian and his wife are incredibly personable! Highly recommend!
Common questions for Low-Voltage Network Wiring in Grand Lake
Can you run network cable from my Grand Lake home to the boat house?
Yes. If the distance is under 100m, Cat6 in conduit is the simplest answer. If it is over 100m or near 100m with margin concerns, we run single-mode fiber with media converters at each end. We size the run to the actual distance.
Cat6 or fiber?
For most residential drops Cat6 is the right answer up to 100m. Fiber is the better choice for outbuilding runs, dock equipment, and any future-proofing past 10G. On Grand Lake waterfront lots the long runs to a boat house or shop usually push into fiber territory.
Do you set up the network too?
Our scope is the cabling, terminations, and labeled patch panel. Network configuration (router, switch, access points) is a separate scope. We can recommend an IT contractor or do basic setup if it is in the agreed scope.
